What kind of trips do you offer?
We organize both private and group trips to various regions of China, with a special focus on authentic, less-touristy destinations like Yunnan, Sichuan, and Guangxi. Each itinerary is tailored to your interests: culture, nature, history, gastronomy, photography, hiking, and more.
Are the trips in groups or private?
We offer both options:
- Group trips: Perfect for meeting people and sharing experiences. Our groups are small (maximum 8–10 people) and usually take place in July and August.
- Private and customized trips: You choose the dates, pace, style of accommodation, and activities, and we take care of everything to create a unique and personalized experience.
What’s included in the organized trip?
Depending on the trip, the package may include:
- Charming and well-located accommodations, carefully selected
- Comfortable transportation with a private driver
- Local guide in Spanish or English, depending on availability
- Entry to monuments and attractions
- Logistical support before and during the trip
- Assistance with visas, flights, insurance, vaccinations, and practical recommendations
Is travel insurance included?
Travel insurance is not included, but it’s not mandatory. However, we recommend several options with broad coverage (Mondo offers 15% off if purchased through our blog). If you already have one, just make sure it’s valid in China.
How is the payment made?
To confirm your booking, we require an initial deposit of 30%. The remainder is paid a few weeks before departure or upon arrival, depending on the trip. We accept:
- International bank transfer
- Bizum (for clients in Spain)
Is there a contract to sign?
Signing a contract is optional. In most cases, a detailed invoice with the itinerary and contracted services is enough. However, if you prefer, we can prepare a formal contract.
What happens if I need to cancel the trip?
We understand that unexpected events can occur, which is why we have a clear cancellation policy:
- Cancel more than 30 days in advance: 100% refund, minus management or non-refundable booking fees
- Between 15 and 30 days before: 50% refund
- Less than 15 days before: we can’t guarantee refunds, though we always try to negotiate with providers to minimize losses
We also recommend purchasing cancellation insurance for your international flights to protect your investment in case of emergencies.
Are international flights included in the trip?
No, we do not include international flights from your home country to China. This allows you to choose the airline, schedule, and price that best suits your needs and budget. However, if you need help, we can assist in finding and recommending reliable options.
On the other hand, domestic flights within China can be included in your trip plan. We’ll book them for you to ensure they’re perfectly coordinated with your itinerary.
What happens if the itinerary changes during the trip?
Sometimes due to weather, local festivals, or unforeseen circumstances, changes may be necessary. In such cases, we always propose alternative plans of equal or greater value, while respecting the spirit of your trip and your preferences. Flexibility and safety are our priorities.
What health requirements must I meet?
Currently, no mandatory vaccines are required to travel to China, but it’s recommended to be up to date with basic vaccines (tetanus, hepatitis A/B, etc.). We provide the most updated information and recommend travel clinics if needed.
Is it suitable for children or families?
Yes, we can adapt trips for families with children. We design itineraries with fun activities, comfortable accommodations, and reasonable travel times to ensure everyone—young and old—enjoys the experience.
Do you have recommendations for older travelers?
Absolutely. Many of our trips can be adapted for people with specific needs. Just let us know your preferences and we’ll design an accessible route that doesn’t compromise the essence of the journey.
Do I need a visa to travel to China?
Currently, a visa is not required for stays of less than 30 days, but this can vary depending on your nationality and any updates to immigration policies. We help confirm this information and, if necessary, assist with the documentation (including invitation letters).
What is the best time to travel to China?
China’s climate varies greatly by region, but in general:
- Spring (April–June) and Autumn (September–November) are ideal for their mild weather and clear skies
- We avoid major Chinese holidays (like Chinese New Year or Golden Week)
We guide you based on your destination and the type of trip you’re looking for.
Can I travel solo?
Yes! Many of our travelers do. You can join a small group or go on a private trip. We can also connect you with other travelers with similar interests to share the route and costs.
What kind of support is offered during the trip?
Our support is constant, personalized, and professional. We’re available via WhatsApp or phone throughout your journey. If you have a guide, they’ll accompany you at every stage. You’ll also receive:
- A detailed itinerary
- Emergency contact numbers
- Personalized tips for each destination
What level of physical activity is required?
Most of our routes are suitable for people with average fitness. If any hikes or treks are included, we’ll let you know in advance. We always aim to adapt the pace to the group or to your personal needs.
Do you organize tailor-made trips?
Yes, most of our trips are fully customized. Tell us what you’re interested in, how much time you have, and your budget, and we’ll create a 100% tailored itinerary. We can combine regions, include special activities, and add days for rest or independent exploration.
