Carmen – Trip to Yunnan, Huangguoshu Waterfall, Fenghuang, and Avatar Mountains (August – 2024)
Hello, we took a trip to China last summer with Marcos as our guide. It was much more interesting than we had expected.
We visited typical places in China but with a special touch, and we also went to the Yunnan region, exploring traditional and very little-touristed villages.
The trip was wonderful and very different from what we expected, and both the agency and Marcos as a guide, made sure to make it different.
I totally recommend it.

This November, we traveled to Yunnan, three people on a tailor-made trip with Marcos‘s personal suggestions, highly recommended. An incredible country, nature, markets, ethnic groups, temples, and fantastic people.
Everything was perfectly organized, amazing accommodations, and endless culinary proposals! Without a doubt, a trip you won’t forget! My third time in China, and it’s been the best experience of the three!! Go for it! It felt too short!

In July 2025, I was lucky enough to live an experience I will never forget: discovering China with Marcos. From the very first day, I felt it wasn’t just another trip, but an adventure that would change the way I see the world.
I never imagined traveling through those southern provinces, so full of life, colors, smells, and contrasts. We’re used to visiting the most famous and touristy places, but discovering Yunnan was something completely different. There I was able to see the real China, the smiles of locals when they see foreigners, the local markets, the temples, and the incredible mountains of Guilin.
Thanks to Marcos, we discovered places you won’t find on the internet, tried all kinds of food, both typical and not, and shared moments with truly wonderful people. Every day was a surprise, a new story to live and tell. It wasn’t just a trip; it was a total immersion in another culture, with a rhythm of life completely different from the European one.
I hesitated a lot before posting this. Part of me would like Yunnan to remain that little-touristed, almost secret place that keeps its magic precisely because it isn’t full of foreigners. But I also felt it deserved to be shared so more people feel encouraged to go.
Marcos has a gift for making you feel part of the country, not just a tourist. His stories, his knowledge, and the way he connects with local people thanks to his command of the language open doors that would otherwise remain closed, it’s impossible to communicate in English there.
Thanks to him, China stopped being a distant destination and became an experience I will carry with me forever.
