🗓️ Detailed Itinerary of the 15-Day Organized Trip Through China
Day 1: Beijing → Lijiang, start of the China Journey
We begin our organized trip to China with arrival at Beijing International Airport. After arrival procedures, we take a domestic flight to Lijiang, in the province of Yunnan. A first taste of one of China’s most authentic regions, known for its ethnic minorities, mountain landscapes, and traditional culture.
Day 2: Lijiang Old Town
Today we explore the Old Town of Lijiang, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We walk through its cobblestone streets, canals, and wooden bridges, visit Black Dragon Pool with views of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, and continue to the traditional village of Baisha, the birthplace of Naxi culture.
Day 3: Trekking in Tiger Leaping Gorge
We start the legendary Tiger Leaping Gorge trek, one of the most famous treks in China. The trail winds between dramatic cliffs with the Yangtze River roaring far below. In the afternoon, we reach the iconic Halfway Guesthouse, where we spend the night enjoying breathtaking views of the gorge.

Day 4: Trekking → Shangri-La
We complete the final section of the Tiger Leaping Gorge trekking route to Tina’s Guesthouse. Afterward, we transfer by road to Shangri-La, a Tibetan city located at over 3,000 meters above sea level. Free time in the afternoon for acclimatization and to soak in the spiritual atmosphere of Tibetan culture.
Day 5: Tibetan Shangri-La
We visit the impressive Songzanlin Monastery, the largest Tibetan monastery in Yunnan, often called the “Little Potala Palace.” We explore the Old Town of Shangri-La, and learn more about the tibetan culture.
Day 6: Shangri-La → Shaxi → Xizhou → Dali
A scenic road journey through historic villages along the Ancient Tea Horse Road. We stop in Shaxi, one of the best-preserved traditional towns in Yunnan, and in Xizhou, famous for its Bai ethnic architecture. Arrival in Dali, a bohemian town beside Erhai Lake.
Day 7: Dali Old Town and Erhai Lake
We enjoy a bike ride around Erhai Lake, passing through local villages and rural landscapes. We then visit the iconic Three Pagodas of Dali and explore the Old Town of Dali, known for its relaxed vibe, temples, and traditional streets.

Day 8: Dali → Kunming, the Spring City
Transfer by high-speed train to Kunming, often called the “City of Eternal Spring.” In the afternoon, we enjoy a leisurely walk around Green Lake Park, a lively area perfect for observing local life.
Day 9: Kunming → Guilin
We continue our journey with a high-speed train to Guilin, famous for its karst landscapes. We visit the Reed Flute Cave and the Elephant Trunk Hill, two of the city’s most iconic landmarks.
Day 10: Guilin → Yangshuo, Li River Cruise
One of the highlights of the trip: a cruise along the Li River, considered one of the most beautiful river landscapes in China. Arrival in Yangshuo, surrounded by spectacular karst mountains. Free time in the lively West Street area.
Day 11: Yangshuo Mountains
A full day to enjoy the natural beauty of Yangshuo. Options include hiking, cycling, caves, viewpoints, and Moon Hill. A flexible day to explore the area at your own pace.
Day 12: Yangshuo (Optional Excursions)
Free day with multiple options: visit the Longji Rice Terraces, explore traditional villages such as Xingping, famous for appearing on the 20-yuan banknote, or discover new trails through the karst hills surrounding Yangshuo.

Day 13: Guilin → Beijing
Flight back to Beijing. Upon arrival, we head straight to the Great Wall of China, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Walk along a well-preserved section and enjoy spectacular panoramic views.
Day 14: Imperial Beijing
We explore the imperial heart of Beijing, including Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, Jingshan Park, and the Temple of Heaven, key landmarks of Chinese history and culture.
Day 15: Beijing, End of the Trip
Free time in Beijing for a final walk through the traditional hutongs or last-minute shopping. Transfer to the airport and end of the organized China tour, an unforgettable journey through nature, culture, and history.
